Multi-factor authentication
The AgNetZero portal protects secure information by requesting users access the service via the multi-factor authentication (MFA) security. This feature requires a username and password, with a unique security code from standard authenticator tools.
Each user will have their own MFA steps to follow, depending on Apple, MS or Android applications. It requires an authenticator app (Microsoft Authenticator and Google Authenticator are the among the most popular ones) to be installed on all users’ smartphones.
If a AgNetZero user is reaching the site for the first time, after entering their username and password, they see a multi-factor authentication page asking for a code. At this point, they have two options:
Option 1 - Pair via smartphone using the Microsoft Authenticator App:
Firstly download the "Microsoft Authenticator App" from the Apple App Store or Android Google Play store
•Open the Microsoft Authenticator App on your smartphone
•Select "Other (Google, Facebook, etc.)" (image 1) and tap on the "Scan QR code" option
•Capture the QR code that you see on your computer screen using the smartphone camera (image 2)
•Next select the new entry in the app (image 3)
•Take the 6-digit code the authenticator app has generated (image 4) - this code will refresh every 30 seconds
•Enter the 6-digit code into the "Security code" box and press the "Authenticate" button to login (image 5).
Logging via the Microsoft Authenticator App
Once you have completed this MFA pairing process on your first login, on subsequent visits, just open the app and add the 6-digit code into the "Security code" when you arrive on this page.
Option 2 - login using code sent via email:
The second option is to use a code which is sent to your accounts registered email.
•Once you have entered your username and password, and arrive on the authentication screen, press the "Send code via email" button (image 1).
•The screen will refresh and show the email address the code has been sent to (image 2).
•Go to the email account the email has been sent to and take the 6-digit code in the email (image 3) - remembering to check junk folders if you cannot see the email in your main Inbox.
•Enter the 6-digit code into the "Security code" box and press the "Authenticate" button to login (image 4).

Resetting your MFA
If a user needs to reset their MFA (for example if they want to set it up on a new phone):
•Click on your profile icon in the top-right hand corner, then choose "Multi-factor authentication" from the menu (image 1).
•On the subsequent page, click the "Reset" button.
•You will be logged out of the platform and taken back to the login screen. Enter your username and password.
•Now when you arrive on the MFA page, you will see the QR code which you scan and setup (pair) on your smartphone as per the instructions in "Option 1" above (see image 3).
